Nicholas has been working at Medbury since 1999. In 2005, he spent some time overseas and returned to Medbury as a Year 5 Teacher. In 2016, Nicholas took a year’s sabbatical, working on the family farm. He is currently teaching a Year 4 class. Nicholas holds a Bachelor of Teaching and Learning from the Christchurch College of Education.
Clare has a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Sociology and Legal Studies), Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Sociology, Master’s Degree in Social Science and a Bachelor of Education. She has been teaching for twenty years. She began her teaching career, lecturing at the University of Kwa Zulu Natal before taking on a role at an independent school in Taipei, Taiwan. She then moved to Australia, where she studied and taught. Clare and her family then moved to New Zealand and prior to joining Medbury, she taught at The Cathedral Grammar School.
Kate has over 20 years teaching experience, in Christchurch and overseas, and has held various leadership and management roles in this time. She holds a Bachelor of Teaching and Learning from the Christchurch College of Education.
Shelley graduated from Otago University with a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours in Marketing. In subsequent years, she completed a Certificate of Commerce, Accounting and Financial Information, and a Certificate in Pharmacology. Recognising her passion for education, Shelley obtained a Graduate Diploma in Teaching in 2017 and taught for three years at another independent school in Christchurch, in Years 5 and 7.
Tanya has been teaching since 1992 across all age ranges. She has been at Medbury since 2009 teaching in Year 4, moving to Year 3 in 2025. She taught in London for nine years, mainly in the private school system. She holds a Bachelor of Education (with a double major in History) and a Diploma of Teaching from Canterbury University.
