Jane holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Bachelor of Teaching from Otago University. She has previously taught at Columba College and Cathedral Grammar. Jane started teaching in the Junior School at Medbury in 2014. She is also the Drama Specialist for Years 1 to 3.
Erin has been teaching for over twenty years and prior to joining the staff at Medbury, was a team leader at Clearview Primary. She holds a Bachelor of Education from the University of Canterbury and a Diploma of Teaching from the Christchurch College of Education. Erin has a passion for literacy and is trained in Reading Recovery. She is currently studying towards her Master of Education, endorsed in Literacy. In her spare time, Erin enjoys music and spending time with her family.
Megan Barnes joined Medbury with extensive experience across a range of year levels since beginning her teaching career in 2009. Most recently an RTLB, she holds a postgraduate qualification in Specialist Teaching (Learning and Behaviour). Megan is passionate about creating a safe, positive classroom where boys feel valued and enjoy learning
Kerry completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Otago University, before pivoting into the field of healthcare with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy. She was an Occupational Therapist for 10 years before making a bold career shift 16 years ago, embracing the world of teaching. She has taught in various diverse countries including New Zealand, Turkey, and Colombia. For 8 years prior to joining Medbury, she worked at the International School Brunei.
Karen has 13 years teaching experience, teaching in a range of Year levels, including Senior Management experience. She has been teaching Year 1 at Medbury School since 2014 and has an interest in transitioning boys into their early years of learning. Karen holds a Bachelor of Teaching and Learning from Canterbury University and Christchurch College of Education.
Emma holds a Bachelor of Management and Organisational Studies from the University of Western Ontario and a Graduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning Primary from the University of Canterbury. She has been teaching the junior years in both New Zealand and Canada for the last 5 years. Each time she has returned to New Zealand she always found her way back to Medbury School and is thrilled to be teaching here again long-term.
Georgie joined Medbury School in 2017, having completed a Graduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning through the University of Canterbury. Prior to that, she worked as an Occupational Therapist & Community Mental Health worker at Timaru Hospital, as she also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
