Medbury Learn, Lead, and Succeed Scholarships

Medbury School is proud to offer the Learn, Lead, and Succeed Scholarships, providing outstanding educational opportunities for deserving boys who may not otherwise have the means to attend Medbury.

The Learn, Lead, and Succeed Scholarships are awarded to well-rounded students who demonstrate excellence in any of Medbury’s holistic pursuits, including sport, leadership, culture, and the performing arts, embodying the school's commitment to fostering talent, leadership, and personal growth.

What the successful applicants will receive:

  • Up to 50% coverage of tuition fees for a maximum of three consecutive years.
  • A place in Medbury’s enriching academic, leadership, cultural, and sporting environment.
  • Support in developing leadership skills, character, and personal growth.

Short-listed candidates will be invited for an interview on Friday 6th June with the Headmaster as part of the selection process.

Conditions of Entry

  • The Medbury Learn, Lead, and Succeed Scholarship is open to boys currently in Years 5, 6 and 7.
  • Applicants must demonstrate excellence in one or more of the following areas; sport, leadership, culture, performing arts, or a combination of these - i.e showcasing all-round talent. 
  • Applicants are to submit the most recent school report as part of their scholarship application.
  • Short-listed candidates will be invited to interview with the Headmaster, scholarships are awarded following a successful interview. 
  • Scholarships are reviewed annually and are subject to the boy's behaviour and attitude throughout the year. 
  • A boy is only eligible to hold one Medbury Scholarship at a time. 
  • Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or hold New Zealand residency.
